24 Hour Bandage:
After 24 hours, run warm water over tattoo to help loosen bandage, do not rip off like a bandaid and pull gently when removing. Once removed wash gently with antibacterial unscented soap and pat dry. Let air dry for about 3-4 hours and then apply the thinnest layer of aquaphor. Wash tattoo 1-3 times daily and apply aquaphor when tattoo is feeling very dry. Do not use any type of lotion until tattoo has finished peeling. Do not itch, scratch, or peel your tattoo. Avoid sun exposure and harsh ingredients in your soaps or lotions.
1 Hour Bandage:
Follow the same steps listed above, but only keep your bandage on for an hour at the most.
Using a saline solution meant for wounds or an antibacterial soap (NO contact solution, no peroxide, no rubbing alcohol etc.) to cleanse your piercing gently 1-3 times a day for the first 4-6 weeks after getting it done. Crustiness and discharge is entirely normal as this is your body's way of healing. Do not twist, rotate, pull, or remove jewelry while cleansing. After the first 4-6 weeks you will notice less irritation and crustiness on your piercing, when this time comes we will go down to cleaning 1-2 times a day. Around this time your piercing may need downsized. (Piercer will tell you if you'll need a downsizing the day you get your new piercing.) Oral piercings need an alcohol free mouthwash as well as outside cleaning with saline or soap. (These piercings ALWAYS need a downsize.)
H2Ocean is always available for purchase at studio.
